Our Mission

What We Believe
The Trinity is one true God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the Lord Jesus Christ in whom “dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily…” (Colossians 2:9)
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and contains all things necessary to salvation.
Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and eternal life are available to all by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus died for our sins on the cross, was buried, and victoriously rose again on the third day to give us Salvation.
Water Baptism of believers in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Lord’s Table is a memorial for believers, remembering the sacrifice of Jesus.

Mission Arm – Blessing Hands Mission
Blessing Hands Mission was established by Toronto Harvest Missionary Church in 2000 in Sri Lanka.
Blessing Hands Mission is a nonprofit organization founded by Pastor Vincent Sahayanathan and the Church in Toronto, Canada. Their goal is to support the nation of Sri Lanka and its civilians through evangelical and charitable work.
Over the last decade, Blessing Hands Mission has intervened and provided relief during some of the nation’s disastrous events: tsunami (2004), civil war instances (2004 to 2009), and COVID-19.
Blessing Hands Mission also supports local schools and a children’s orphanage to present. Blessing Hands Mission has held gospel crusades, youth meetings, and evangelical seminars over the last two decades, winning many souls for the Kingdom of God.
In 2022, Blessing Hands Mission launched the nation’s very first missionary Training Centre in Mylampavaly, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. The aim of the Training Centre is to be a place where youth, primarily 18 to 30 years old, from across the nation are trained to do mission work. Students spend six months at the Centre, where they learn how to effectively preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and reach the unreached people groups in the pockets of the nation. They are to take the skills equipped from the Centre, and travel into the 38,000 villages across Sri Lanka to provide love, care and support to people in broken homes and families, victims of abuse, the drug and alcohol dependent, and kids who have no access to education. These trained students will ultimately go out to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, restoring hope and productivity for people in villages. This program will run year-round, offering an opportunity for young people to register at the Blessing Hands Training Centre for further discipleship.
We invite you all to contact us, so you can participate and be involved in our mission work.

Within the last decade, THMC established the Blessing Hands Mission and commenced the building of a Vocational Training Centre in Mylampavaly, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. The aim of the Training Centre is to be a ground upon which youth across the nation will be trained to do outreach work. Students will spend six months at the Centre, where they will learn the keys to mission work. These trained students will ultimately go out to work toward spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and restoring hope and productivity for people in villages that currently lack opportunities to thrive. This program will run year-round, and young people who are sought out in villages will be given the opportunity to accept Jesus into their hearts and register at the Vocational Training Centre for further discipleship and a chance to help others who were once lost like them.
Our mission goal is that this Training Center raises a generation who desires to serve the nation and propel its prosperity. We invite you all to visit our Blessing Hands website to learn more about how you can participate and be involved in our mission work so that it will be a great blessing to the nation of Sri Lanka.

Leadership
Message From Rev. Vincent Sahayanathan:
In 1995, God called us by the name of Toronto Harvest Missionary Church and planted a seed to birth many disciples for the Kingdom of God. THMC has established churches in Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario, as well as Frankfurt, Germany.
We are grateful for the strong roots that we have established through the vibrant congregation of THMC. THMC has been able to evangelize to the Tamil population as well as many other nationalities who have been blessed through the Church. Our church has participated in a great harvest, and we know God has great plans to use us further in the future. We want to embrace the restorative work the Holy Spirit is doing in our midst and will do in the future.
Over these years, THMC has expanded in children’s ministry, youth ministry, media ministry, community outreach work and missionary training. If you would like to know more or speak to someone about the ministry at Toronto Harvest Missionary Church, please contact us here.
